ODI Cricket World Cup 2023 Closing Ceremony: All the details you require for the big show

On Sunday, November 19, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, the much-awaited ICC ODI Cricket World Cup 2023 final between Australia and India will take place. Notably, the two sides will face off in the ODI World Cup final for the second time ever; the first time was in 2003, when Australia won by 125 runs.

India’s campaign has gone flawlessly so far, as they topped the points table after winning all nine of their group stage games and accruing 18 points. At the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, they faced fourth-place New Zealand in the semi-final, which they won by 70 runs to guarantee their place in the championship game.

Conversely, Australia’s World Cup campaign began with consecutive defeats to South Africa and India. The Pat Cummins-led team, however, pulled off a stunning turnaround, winning their next seven games in a row to take third place with 14 points in the standings. In order to guarantee their spot in the final against India, the Kangaroos defeated South Africa by three wickets at Eden Gardens in Kolkata during their semi-final match.

Squad Details for IND vs. AUS:

India Squad:

The Indian team consists of the following players: Mohammed Siraj, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Shami, Ravichandran Ashwin, Ishan Kishan, Prasidh Krishna, Suryakumar Yadav, KL Rahul, Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur, Jasprit Bumrah, and Rohit Sharma (captain).

Australia Squad:

Pat Cummins (captain), Steve Smith, Josh Inglis, Sean Abbott, Cameron Green, Josh Hazlewood, Travis Head, Mitch Marsh, Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, David Warner, Adam Zampa, and Mitchell Starc are the members of the Australian squad.

Set aside a day in case of inclement weather.

A reserve day has been set aside to determine the outcome of the thrilling match in the event that bad weather interrupts the final. The shortest possible game between the two sides is 20 overs, and if it is rescheduled for the following day, play will resume at the same point.

Details of the 2023 ODI World Cup Closing Ceremony:

Several notable Indians, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will be present in the 2023 ODI World Cup final. Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has also been invited. Prior to kickoff, there will be a ten-minute air show featuring the Indian Air Force’s Surya Kiran aerobatic team.

Midway during the innings, the BCCI will deliver special blazers to past champions, an honouring of all the World Cup-winning captains from the previous 12 editions. Additionally, Pritam Chakraborty, the music director, who also wrote “Dil Jashn Bole,” the World Cup 2023 theme song, will be performing more.

World Cup Records

India has made three appearances in the World Cup finals so far (1983, 2003, and 2011), and in 1983 and 2011, they won the prized cup twice. However, Australia is the most successful team in the tournament’s history, having won five titles (1987, 1999, 2003, 2007 and 2015), and they have participated in seven World Cup finals thus far (1975, 1987, 1996, 1999, 2003, 2007, 2015).

Details of 2023’s ODI Cricket World Cup Prize Money:
