Former Pakistani bowler Mohammad Amir has stated that the foundation of the country’s cricket system is still sound and has attributed the team’s current struggles to Babar Azam’s attitude. Mohammad Amir wasn’t holding back when criticizing Ramiz Raja, the former PCB chief who backs Babar Azam’s captaincy and calls for systemic change. He emphasized that the system was the same in 1992 when Imran Khan led his team to the World Cup victory. His position was unambiguous: the mindset needs to change, not the system. “We argue that Dhoni transformed Indian cricket, but the system was never altered by him. People were always asking how long he would continue to give Ashwin and Jadeja opportunities.
