Even as we rode the bus to the airport, I tried to research Kuldeep Yadav: Teja Nidamanuru

"Kuldeep is a world-class player who has taken a lot of wickets," Teja Nidamanuru of the Netherlands stated.

Even as we rode the bus to the airport, I tried to research Kuldeep Yadav: Teja Nidamanuru

Teja Nidamanuru did a good job of managing Kuldeep Yadav during his innings. He talked about how he went above and beyond to attack the best spinner after the game. India easily trounced the Netherlands on Sunday, November 12, in Bengaluru by a margin of 160 runs, continuing their onslaught in the ODI World Cup 2023. Before bundling the Dutch side for 250, the hosts set a target of 411.

While the Netherlands never threatened India in their run-chase, a few of its hitters demonstrated that they could go deep against a bowling team that was on fire, which would provide the European country with much to cheer about going forward. Teja Nidamanuru, who batted at number seven, scored the only half-century for the Dutch in the game. During his brilliant 54 off 39 balls, he struck one four and six sixes.

We make a conscious effort to examine our packages analytically. Kuldeep has a great deal of experience and is a great wicket-taker. Even on the bus as we were heading into the stadium, I was attempting to observe him,” Teja Nidamanuru was cited by ESPNcricinfo.

Teja Nidamanuru scored a six off Kuldeep Yadav, a fantastic inside-out shot. The right-handed hitter clarified the significance of the effort required to execute a shot like that.

“I watched movies of his wrist and attempted to choose his wrong ‘un to see what you could see. When it works out well for you and is done with positivity and good intentions, that’s fantastic. What’s beautiful, though, is the preparation that goes into the shot’s execution, “explained Nidamanuru.

Teja Nidamanuru highlights the distinctions between India and the Netherlands.

The ‘Men in Blue’ received praise from the 29-year-old for their execution. Additionally, he stated that a significant differentiating aspect was the way the Netherlands batted in the same portion of their innings as well as the way Shreyas Iyer, who amassed an incredible 128 not out off 94 balls, approached the middle overs.

The gap between our approach to the middle stages and Shreyas Iyer’s performance is evident. As we’ve stated many times before, let me reiterate: we are a learning team. We’re excited to continue our general progress and to debrief. We’re losing five or six wickets in the middle [of the game], while the great sides are going at six an over without taking any chances. The distinction is that.”

With scores of 54 and 41 not out in his final two innings, Nidamanuru concluded the ODI World Cup 2023 on a high note. He concluded the season with 164 runs from seven games at an average of 27.33, but he wasn’t satisfied with how his campaign went overall.

It’s been, to be honest, a little below average. I had already scored a few international hundreds this year, including one in the qualifying, before this. I therefore came here expecting to provide a higher caliber of work for the team. That hasn’t gone as smoothly as I would have hoped, but I’m glad there are some encouraging signals going forward,” Nidamanuru remarked.

The biggest obstacle, in my opinion, has been to be able to play spin when the ball is turning, especially in situations where I have been batting. It’s one thing, in my opinion, to perform to a particular quality when playing teams that are more subdued or at a different level, but when you’re here, [Ravindra] Jadeja consistently hits the top of the stumps.

It thus comes down to having the ability to convert that good ball into one that will release pressure. Having a strategy to counteract some of that swing and nip in terms of our team’s approach versus pace is also important. We’ll keep honing those kinds of skill sets. The Vijayawada native continued, “This tournament has given us a very good reference point that will certainly help us.”
