Following the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, India and Australia will play a five-match Twenty20 International series starting on Thursday, November 23. Visakhapatnam, Thiruvananthapuram, Guwahati, Nagpur, and Hyderabad will host the five matches. Raipur and Bengaluru are most likely to replace Nagpur and Hyderabad as the series’ last two locations.

There will be timetable adjustments because of elections and vote tallying in multiple state assemblies, according to reports.

This is anticipated to be the subject of a statement shortly from the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India). Nonetheless, Cricket Australia (CA) has been advised of the timetable modifications.

A report on Cricbuzz states that the Nagpur stadium in Jamtha will not be available for the match due to ongoing development. Notably, the BCCI was compelled to change their plans to host a senior T20 women’s competition at the location due to the lack of floodlights in the pitch.

As a result, the Chhattisgarh Cricket Association (CSA) has been informed that the game that was originally scheduled for Friday, December 1 will now take place in Raipur.

The Telangana State Government might not be able to secure Hyderabad for the fifth Twenty20 International.

However, the Hyderabad Cricket Association has indicated that the fifth match on December 3 may need to be moved to Bengaluru due to the Telangana State Government’s potential inability to provide security. Interestingly, Cuttack was also supposed to receive the hosting rights, but it lost out to the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA).

Notably, the Men in Blue’s preparation for the 2024 T20 World Cup, which is slated to be held in the USA and the West Indies, will begin with this five-match series. For the series, a number of the senior players participating in the current World Cup are probably going to be rested, and the BCCI is probably going to name a young side.
