The World Cup 2023 craze has engulfed cricket fans worldwide, and the tournament has already included some truly amazing cricket matches. The Indian squad, which has yet to lose in the league, gets ready to play Sri Lanka in the competition’s 33rd match. On Thursday, November 2, both teams will take the stage at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium. One topic of discussion prior to the match has been Mumbai’s air quality. In relation to this, Indian captain Rohit Sharma stood up to discuss the city’s continuously deteriorating air quality.

In his opinion, Rohit Sharma stressed the need to protect the quality of the air for coming generations and expressed his confidence that those who care about it are doing everything within their power to maintain it.

While it is desirable to avoid situations like this, I have a good feeling that the concerned parties are taking the required precautions to accomplish so.

Everyone is aware that it’s not ideal, as ESPNcricinfo cited Rohit Sharma as stating.

“Considering our progeny, your children, and mine, Of course, it’s crucial that they are able to live fearlessly. I talk about this every time I get the chance to talk about something other than cricket, or not about cricket. Our future generations need to be taken care of,” he continued.

Aces When England lost to South Africa, English batter Joe Root expressed similar worries, and with numerous others following suit, air pollution has rapidly gained significant attention. After noticing that the air quality was getting worse, the BCCI said that they would not be letting off fireworks during the World Cup in Delhi and Mumbai.

“BCCI is cognizant of environmental issues. There won’t be any fireworks displays in Mumbai, which could raise the pollution level; I brought up the issue formally with the ICC,” BCCI secretary Jay Shah recently stated in a statement.

Mumbai will host two more ODI World Cup 2023 matches after India’s match against Sri Lanka at the Wankhede Stadium: Afghanistan vs. Australia on November 7 and the opening semi-final on November 15. Moreover, Delhi will host its final match on November 6—a match between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
