The upcoming edition of Collins English dictionary is officially going to include “Bazball.”

The notorious term “Bazball” has been incorporated into the Collins lexicon due to its extensive usage.

The England Test squad intended for the word to imply boldness and taking chances. Brendon McCullum, the head coach of the England Test team and a former captain of New Zealand, is credited with creating the phrase.

The definition of the term was given as “an aggressive and forceful batting style in Test cricket.” It is scheduled to appear in the dictionary’s 2024 print edition. Concurrently, the word that was inspired by Brendon McCullum has already appeared in the online edition of the well-known newspaper.
