India defeated the reigning champions by 100 runs in Lucknow, recording a convincing victory over them. All went smoothly for India, but there was a point at when captain Rohit Sharma lost control of his feelings towards spinner Kuldeep Yadav. The incident was most notable in the 22nd over when the spinner, having just defeated Liam Livingstone on a delivery, declined to go for the DRS call.
The 22nd over was a missed opportunity for the spinner, but the review revealed that the ball was striking the leg stumps. But it didn’t cost India much because in the 30th over, Yadav dismissed the English all-rounder to severely damage England’s batting lineup.

England won the toss and chose to field first in the 29th match of the ODI World Cup 2023. India attempted to establish a large lead, however the most of their batters were unable to score at those times.
