The strength of New Zealand has been that they don't commit many errors: Virat Kohli

Team India will play arch rivals New Zealand today in an exciting matchup between the table-toppers of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 after winning the first four games. Virat Kohli, the star cricketer for India, gave an exclusive interview to the Star Sports program “Follow the Blues” before this vital game to discuss confronting New Zealand.

Virat Kohli, a star of Indian cricket, gave an exclusive interview to Star Sports program “Follow the Blues” where he discussed New Zealand’s challenge. They are incredibly structured and professional. They play cricket in a highly disciplined fashion, but within that system, they are very reliable, which has been the key to their success throughout time. They have a great deal of consistency, which is a compliment to their cricketing abilities.

Kohli continued by talking about disrupting New Zealand’s rhythm. “Any team that plays against them obviously has to find ways of breaking that rhythm and playing to their best of their abilities, which will ultimately decide whether you’re going to cope up with their consistency or not. Because they are not a team that makes many mistakes and that’s been their strength, if you don’t make many mistakes at the international level, you have a great chance of winning the game more often than not. So, as I said, all credit to them for the way they have organized their cricket.

The way New Zealand has advanced in international cricket over the past six to seven years—they were finalists in 2015, 2019 and they defeated us in the ICC Test Championship final—means that they deserve a lot of credit, according to Virat Kohli.
