On Friday, October 20, at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, Match 18 of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 will pit Australia and Pakistan against one another. After choosing to bat first, Australia was invited by Pakistani captain Babar Azam. David Warner and Mitchell Marsh, the team’s opening pair, gladly accepted the invitation as they put together a big double-hundred run partnership for the first wicket.
Usama Mir dropped Warner at mid-on in the fifth over of his innings, giving him a chance to bat again. Pakistan instantly regretted it when the opening batter unleashed his beast mode on their renowned pace attack. Everyone was in awe of Warner’s shot in the ninth over, when he launched Haris Rauf for a huge six.
The southpaw displayed his flamboyance by slamming Rauf over deep square leg, sending the ball over the stadium’s roof.

David Warner scores a century against Pakistan in the fourth straight ODI.
Warner continued to play against Pakistan in ODIs, scoring his 21st ODI hundred and his fourth straight hundred. The southpaw batted brilliantly, scoring 163 runs off 124 balls while blasting 14 fours and nine sixes. Mitchell Marsh, who also got a great hundred and amassed 121 runs off 108 balls with the aid of ten fours and nine sixes, provided solid assistance for him.
Australia scored 367/9 in their allotted 50 overs thanks to a remarkable partnership between Warner and Marsh that included 259 runs off 203 balls for the first wicket. The best bowler for Pakistan was Shaheen Afridi, who took 5/54 in ten overs.
With openers Abdullah Shafique (64 off 61) and Imam-ul-Haq (70 off 71) scoring 134 runs for the first wicket off 127 balls, Pakistan made a strong start in their reply. However, they faltered in the middle overs and were dismissed for 305 in 45.3 overs, giving Australia a 62-run victory. With the ball, Adam Zampa shone for the Kangaroos, picking up 4/53 in ten overs.
