After her outstanding performance against the West Indies women in the second T20I of the ongoing series, Phoebe Litchfield discussed her improvement. Despite Australia losing the game, Litchfield gave a performance that will go down in history.
According to Litchfield, she has learned a lot about her game in the last year. She also emphasized the psychological aspect of the game and how she overcame a poor summer in the Women’s Ashes 2023.
Phoebe Litchfield was quoted by cricket.com.au as saying, “I think over the past 12 months I’ve learned a lot about my game. On the mental side of it, during the Ashes campaign I probably didn’t have the best series, so dealing with that disappointment and also riding the waves with the team – we hadn’t lost much in the past (while).”
“Over the last six months, I think I’ve learned just a lot about my game as a whole, the mental side, and dealing with the highs and lows of international cricket,” she said in her conclusion.

Speaking of the game, Phoebe Litchfield tied Sophie Devine’s record for the fastest fifty in a women’s T20I by scoring 52 runs in only 19 deliveries. Speaking about the game, the Australian ladies scored 212 runs in the first inning thanks to some outstanding performances by the batters.
But the women from the West Indies charged in with guns blazing. 132 runs were scored by Hayley Matthews in 64 deliveries. The West Indies chased down the enormous goal, won the match by seven wickets, and leveled the series thanks to Stafanie Taylor’s additional 59 runs.
Both teams will want to deliver a strong performance as they square up against one another in the final T20I on Thursday, October 5, with the series level at 1-1.
