In the ongoing men’s cricket competition at the Asian Games 2023 in Hangzhou, China, India and Nepal are presently participating in the first quarterfinal. Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore was selected by Chennai Super Kings at his base price of INR 20 lakhs in the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction ahead of the cash-rich competition’s 2020 season after putting together a couple strong seasons in the Tamil Nadu Premier League and the Indian domestic circuit. He was a member of the Chennai team that defeated Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL final to win the 2021 season. The Chennai-native, however, didn’t play a single game during his two seasons with the team.
Sai Kishore was acquired by one of the two new clubs, Gujarat Titans, for INR 3 crore in the super auction leading up to IPL 2022. The young player made his IPL debut on May 10, 2022, in a match against the Lucknow Super Giants. He went on to play in five matches that season, taking six wickets at a 20.17 average. The Titans eventually won the competition. He was a member of the team for the IPL 2023 season, but he didn’t play.
His T20 cricket statistics are extremely impressive. Sai has taken 57 wickets in 49 T20 games with a meager average of 16.91 and a perfect rate of just 5.48. He might be of great importance to the “Men in Blue” as they attempt to capture the first-ever gold medal at the Asian Games.
