Undoubtedly, Trent Boult is the best pacer New Zealand has ever produced. He was instrumental in the Black Caps’ journey to the ODI World Cup finals in 2015 and 2019. The 34-year-old is prepared to compete in the forthcoming 2023 ODI World Cup in India, which starts next month, for a third time while donning the Kiwi jersey.
In order to play in franchise leagues in Australia, India, and the US, Trent Boult declined a contract with New Zealand Cricket.
One of the other main factors for not signing a contract with the national team was being able to spend more time with his family. The left-arm seamer, though, earned his spot back in the New Zealand team ahead of the upcoming ODI World Cup after displaying his talent in the franchise leagues.

The left-arm bowler believed that his defeats in back-to-back World Cup finals had taught him a lot about himself and that they had improved him as a cricketer.
I’ve had the good fortune to participate in a few World Cup finals, and I’ve always ended up losing them. Although it seems cliche, failure teaches you more than success. Because of that experience, I believe I am a better cricket player.
Since making a comeback to international cricket, Boult has been in fantastic shape. With the ball, the seasoned player has taken eight wickets in three innings at a perfect average of 15.62 and a strike rate of 18.10. Boult will be a crucial bowler for the Kiwis as they attempt to win the 50-over World Cup for the third time thanks to his years of experience playing in the Indian Premier League.
