The final England team for the forthcoming ODI World Cup 2023 does not include Jason Roy. Jos Buttler, the English white-ball captain, took up the duty and personally notified Jason Roy of his expulsion from the team. In a same spirit, Buttler openly discussed his thoughts on the difficult decision to prefer Harry Brook over Roy following the latter’s injury.
However, it is a necessary component of a captain’s plan and tactics as England prepares for the ODI World Cup in 2023, according to Jos Buttler. The ODI captain also made sure to emphasize Roy’s tight friendship with him. As a result, making the choice to not include Roy in the ultimate decision became much more difficult.
No moment, in my opinion, is simple. Whether they are close friends or not, it is not a pleasant task to perform and is an aspect of the captain’s job that is not fun.
