Due to a knee injury, Prithvi Shaw’s will miss the most of the domestic season in 2023–24.

India batter Prithvi Shaw’s will be forced to watch from the sidelines after hurting his knee playing for Northamptonshire in the one-day championship match against Durham. The youthful batter will be out of action for at least three months and won’t play in most of India’s domestic season in 2023–24.

Prithvi Shaw’s sought medical advice from a surgeon in London after suffering the injury before travelling to Bengaluru’s National Cricket Academy (NCA) for additional evaluation. According to a representative of the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA), the management is taking a “wait-and-watch approach” to ensure that he is prepared for the Ranji Trophy in January.

Prithvi Shaw’s now expected to miss the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, which will start on October 16. This is due to his current circumstances.
