Nepal has a fantastic opportunity to play India in the currently taking place Asia Cup 2023. The team led by Rohit Paudel had several memorable experiences despite not making it to the Super Fours. One such instance occurred when they played India. Aasif Sheikh, the opener, made some outstanding cricket plays and scored a memorable half-century against a strong bowling team like India.
Star cricketer Virat Kohli, meanwhile, fumbled his catch in the game’s second over, giving him an extra chance to bat and eventually reach a half-century.
After the game, a few Nepali players were given medals, including Aasif Sheikh, to whom Kohli presented the medal.
Sheikh alked about the encounter and claimed that Kohli joked about needing a medal for himself for dropping his catch as well.
Sheikh mentioned that Virat Kohli had playfully remarked, “I should get a medal too, I dropped your catch.”
