On the invitation of PCB, Rajeev Shukla and BCCI president Roger Binny attended a gala dinner in Lahore on Monday, September 4.
Speaking at the occasion, Roger Binny expressed gratitude to the PCB for their kindness and lavished admiration on the caliber of matches India and Pakistan have played over the years. Binny went on to explain how time stops when India and Pakistan engage in combat, claiming that the streets are deserted and everyone leaves their jobs to watch the conflict. The PCB was also congratulated by the BCCI president for welcoming Rajeev Shukla.
“I want to express my gratitude to the Pakistan Cricket Board for inviting me to the program tonight. I send you wishes on behalf of the BCCI and Indian cricket fans. India-Pakistan is one of the largest games ever played, as your Excellency mentioned. You can believe me, sir.
In a video posted by the PCB, Roger Binny remarked, “Everything came to a standstill when India played Pakistan.
“No one works, and the streets are deserted. Everyone is gathered around the screen to watch cricket. Since cricket is so popular in both India and Pakistan, I must express my gratitude to the Pakistan Cricket Board for their kind hospitality beginning when we crossed the border this afternoon. Binny remarked that it was a lovely experience.

It is important to note that Binny and Shukla were invited to the dinner to honor Pakistan’s role as co-host of the Asia Cup 2023. This visit may help to heal the strained relationship between the two boards.
