In the third match of the Asia Cup 2023, teams from India and Pakistan squared off against one other. On Saturday, September 2, both teams squared off against one another at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy. India elected to bat first, and star pacer Shaheen Afridi made quick work of India’s top order with his outstanding bowling performance. As is his custom, Afridi caused havoc on India’s top order by dismissing Rohit Sharma, India’s captain, and Virat Kohli, the country’s best batter, for relatively low scores. After seeing Shaheen Afridi outstanding performance, Pakistan’s former prime minister Shehbaz Sharif resorted to Twitter in order to make a snide comment on the Indian batsmen.
