Sushma Patel, the captain of the Indian team, said after their victory in the IBSA World Games, "We are very happy to win this medal."

This year was the first time cricket was entered into the International Blind Sports Association (IBSA) World Games. Sushma Patel inspiring leadership helped the visually impaired Indian women’s cricket team win the gold medal when they defeated Australia by nine wickets on August 26 at Edgbaston, Birmingham, in a game that was postponed due to rain.

In their 20 overs, Australia could only score 115/8 runs. The Indian batsmen won the match using the DLS system after scoring 43 runs in just 3.3 overs.

Recently, Captain Sushma Patel shared her joy for leading her squad to such a fantastic accomplishment.

According to Sushma Patel, “We are very happy to win this medal,” as reported by India Today. India, a nation that adores cricket, is undoubtedly extremely proud of their fantastic accomplishment, which will undoubtedly encourage more visually impaired cricketers to enter the game.

Indian men’s team loses against Pakistan and earns silver.The Indian men’s team for the blind advanced to the title game during their remarkable IBSA World Games run. They were defeated by Pakistan by an eight-wicket margin in Edgbaston on Saturday, August 26, therefore they were forced to accept silver. The women’s championship game was followed by this contest.

In their opening innings, India set Pakistan a difficult goal of 184 thanks to DR Tompaki’s 76 off 57 balls. The “Men in Green” played bravely and eventually easily pursued the target. Ajay Kumar Reddy, the captain of India, promised that his team would learn from its mistakes and improve in the following series.

“We attempted to seize a second hold, but we were unsuccessful. We will take what we’ve learned from this series and try again in the next, said Ajay Kumar Reddy.

Overall, India’s World Games campaign was outstanding, as both the men’s and women’s teams succeeded in elevating their nation.
