The three-match away T20I series against Ireland will mark Jasprit Bumrah’s eagerly anticipated comeback. The first match will take place on Friday, August 18, at The Village Malahide Cricket Club in Dublin. The 55-year-old Saba Karim, a former India wicketkeeper-batter, asserted that the pacer won’t be under any more stress as a result of serving as captain for the Ireland series; rather, the leadership position will assist the bowler better understand his body.

“Jasprit Bumrah’s levels of fitness and match fitness would be more of a concern for the team administration and selectors. His workload won’t increase because this series is played in a T20 format. It will only improve his understanding of his body.

Saba Karim, was reported by India Today assaying, “He can play at different phases. They (India) are playing three T20 games.

In January 2023, he was selected for an ODI series against Sri Lanka but had to withdraw because of ongoing back problems. As a result, he was unable to participate in the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL), the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, or the World Test Championship (WTC) final against Australia.

In addition to marking his recovery, the T20I series in Ireland served as an important element of his training for the upcoming domestic ICC Cricket World Cup. Since this is his first appearance in the series as a captain, it is especially important. In particular, his form and fitness will be carefully scrutinized during the next T20I series.

at a T20I match against Australia at Hyderabad in September 2022, he made his final appearance for India. He had back surgery in New Zealand in March 2023, and the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru was where he started his recovery.
