Devdutt Padikkal's thumb injury will keep him out of action for three to four weeks.

Due to a thumb fracture sustained at the Deodhar Trophy earlier this month, young up-and-coming player Devdutt Padikkal will be sidelined for the next three to four weeks.

Due to an injury, the left-handed batter for the Gulbarga Mystics had to retire from the ongoing Maharaja KSCA T20 trophy.

Devdutt Padikkal revealed the specifics of his injuries and subsequent care. He has played two T20Is for India.

“During the Deodhar Trophy, I fractured my left thumb. So, to rectify that, I had to have a minor operation. I won’t be returning to the game for at least three to four weeks. Hopefully soon, I can return to the field,” he told Fancode.

The young hitter for the Rajasthan Royals recently posted on social media about his recuperation process, writing, “Just a little update. I had to get surgery because I fractured my left thumb. I can’t wait to go back on the field soon as the road to recovery has started.

Devdutt Padikkal injury is a setback for him personally as well as for his side, the Gulbarga Mystics in the Maharaja KSCA T20 trophy 2023, since he has established a solid reputation thanks to his great achievements.

Rohan Kunnumal’s outstanding batting display helped his team, South Zone, win the Deodhar Trophy final against East Zone by a score of 45 runs last month in Puducherry. With a perfect record and victories in all five of their league matches in the competition, South Zone won their tenth championship, demonstrating their unmatched domination.

For his comeback, Padikkal may aim to compete in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, the following Indian domestic competition, which is set to begin on October 16. Cricket fans and the Rajasthan Royals are looking for a prompt comeback from their star batsman, Padikkal, as he begins his healing process. so that spectators may witness him as usual pounding the bowlers throughout the park
