Faheem Ashraf, an all-rounder, was one of the unexpected selections in Pakistan‘s 18-person team for the three-game ODI series against Afghanistan that will be played from August 22 to 26. Faheem hasn’t played well for Pakistan in recent ODI or T20I appearances.
Kamran Akmal, a former Pakistani player, thinks Faheem should seize this chance to show off his talents since the all-rounder’s form is a cause for concern. The 41-year-old also pushed Faheem to emulate Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya by citing the famous all-rounder’s example.

He also pressed Faheem to honor the confidence placed in him. In 31 ODI matches, he has only taken 23 wickets at an average of 46.08, while his 218 runs at an average of 11.47 have been scored with the bat.
The confidence exhibited in him by the club management, the coach, Babar, and even Inzamam bhai, who has just joined, is a significant deal for him. Recently, both in domestic cricket and the PSL, he hasn’t had any particularly standout performances.
