Zak Crawley, an English batsman, is looking forward to the next five-match Test series in India because he sees it as a fantastic opportunity to evaluate the Bazball style in the various sub-continental conditions. “In India, the ball does occasionally seam and swing a little bit, and they have exceptional seamers, so perhaps there are a few pitches there that are favorable to our style of play.
But if it’s spinning, I think we can handle it as well.
We’ll need to adapt and keep an eye on our surroundings. I’m not sure if they’ll be as difficult as Ahmedabad and Chennai, where we went recently, because those grounds are not really familiar to me.
I don’t recall ever taking six months off [between tests]. I’ll knock off some T20 and possibly some white-ball, but [getting] back into it in India will be a wonderful opportunity for our squad to see how we perform in those circumstances,” he continued.
Zak Crawley expressed satisfaction with his performance after finishing the 2023 Ashes as England’s top run-scorer with an amazing 480 runs. Since Mike Atherton’s score in 1993, his was the greatest opening total for England in a home Ashes series.
