Ishan Kishan, a young India wicketkeeper-batsman, had a fantastic trip to the West Indies. In all three of the ODIs against the West Indies, Kishan scored fifty runs, and the Men in Blue finished the series with a total of 184 runs. Ishan Kishan was crucial to their success.
The wicketkeeper joined an elite group that includes players like MS Dhoni, Mohammed Azharuddin, and Dilip Vengsarkar after scoring 50 in the third and final ODI played at the Brain Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad. The 25-year-old Indian batsman is the most recent to register half century in each of the three bilateral ODIs.
Aakash Chopra, a former India opener who was commentating, and Ishan Kishan engaged in a lighthearted conversation during a stumping appeal in the final ODI. The youngster responded admirably when Chopra made a reference to the illustrious Indian captain, Dhoni.
“Reviewing the stumping and running out the clock is quite uncommon. I can already make out the feet on the ground. You may be a Ranchi native, but MS Dhoni is not your name, Chopra stated on-air.
“Oh, fir thik hai,” The stump mic picked up Kishan stating, “(Then it’s okay)”

Ishan Kishan was dissatisfied with the finishing he provided.
Kishan, who was chosen Player of the Series, expressed dissatisfaction with how he performed in the three-game ODI series. The 25-year-old also discussed how his senior felt after missing a crucial shot.
“I wasn’t too pleased with my finishing. After being set, I was intended to make a huge score. My elders advised me to remain in and score heavily, they said. I’m going to attempt to get set in the centre and score big the next time,” Kishan remarked following the game.
He praised Shubman Gill, another opener, calling him a “tremendous player” in the meanwhile. In the final ODI, Kishan and Gill scored 143 runs, which was the highest opening partnership by an Indian combination in the West Indies.
He is a fantastic player; I have seen how he centres the ball. It gives me a lot of confidence to see him hit it out of the centre, too,” added Kishan.
