Ravindra Jadeja responded directly to Kapil Dev’s accusation of “arrogance” by saying, “There is no personal agenda.”

In the three-match ODI series, West Indies tied the game at 1-1.

In reaction to former India captain Kapil Dev’s criticism of his “arrogance,” star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja of India had a rather direct response. Notably, on expressing his opinion about India’s disgraceful loss to the West Indies in the second ODI, the 1983 World Cup champion skipper did not hold back.

Dev claimed that the players’ ‘know-it-all’ attitude and sense of arrogance have developed as a result of the money they earn playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Jadeja, however, had a scathing response to Kapil Dev’s remarks, claiming that there was no “arrogance” on the team.

I’m not sure when Kapil Dev made this statement. On social media, I don’t look up these topics. You see, everyone has their own viewpoints. “Ex-players are completely entitled to express their opinions, but I don’t believe this team is smug,” Jadeja was quoted as saying by NDTV Sports.

“Everyone is working hard and having fun playing cricket. Nothing has ever been taken for granted. They are giving it their all. These remarks typically follow a loss for the Indian team. This group of youngsters is good; they make up a good team. There is no personal goal; we are only concerned with promoting India, he said.

These cricketers think they know it all: Kapil Dev

“Occasionally, arrogance appears when there is too much money. After India’s defeat in the second ODI against the West Indies, Kapil Dev said in an interview with ‘The Week’ that “these sportsmen feel they know everything.

Notably, the think tank chose to rest senior cricketers Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma in the second game after a convincing victory in the first ODI. The decision quickly backfired, as the Men in Blue suffered a six-wicket loss to the Windies in a low-scoring match.

On Tuesday, August 1, the third and final One-Day International (ODI) between Team India and Trinidad will determine the series. The series would also be won by Team India with a victory in the third ODI. The five-match T20I series, which is set to start on August 3rd, will take the two teams’ focus after the end of the ODI series.
