James Anderson

Stuart Broad’s sudden decision to stop playing all forms of cricket shocked James Anderson, but he has since expressed his support.

Notably, on Day 4 of the fifth Test, the pair came out to bat for the final time to a standing ovation from the Australian team and the fans. Anderson reflected on how special it was and how fortunate he felt to be a part of the adventure.

The pair has taken 1037 wickets in all when playing together in Test cricket, and they will be eager to add to that total as England battles to tie the Ashes in 2023. Speaking candidly about their partnership, James Anderson said that neither he nor Borad would have been able to do what they did without each other’s support.

“I admit that I was a little taken aback when he told me, but I must respect Stuart Broad’s choice. His intentions were crystal clear. Going out to witness his final ball in a Test match of cricket yesterday morning with him was incredibly special. In an interview with Sky Sports, Anderson remarked, “I thought the audience was tremendous; the ovation he got was incredible, and I felt extremely happy to be out there and experience it.

“That will probably be the one image of our careers that we display in our home,” they said. Together, we had a lot of fun. Without each other, neither of us would have been able to succeed. Yes, it’s been really great, and I’ll miss him a lot,” he continued.

“We’ve loved playing together, neither of us could’ve achieved what we have without the other” 🥺❤️

However, James Anderson  said that he wants to continue despite having a really dismal series. The 41-year-old bowler who was mentioned claimed that he is in good physical shape and does not have any immediate plans to declare his retirement.
