West Indies start cautiously, India get a breakthrough late on day 2 of Second Test
Speaking about the game, the West Indies headed out to bat seeking to build on their performance from the first Test after team India’s outstanding batting display and 438 runs scored in the first innings. As openers Tagenarine Chanderpaul and captain Kraigg Brathwaite appeared to be in the zone, the team accomplished that goal.
With 33 runs under his belt, Chanderpaul sought to get the hosts off to a strong start. Ravindra Jadeja, an all-rounder, though, got the opening wicket and gave India a breakthrough. The Windies had a score of 86 runs with the loss of one wicket by the time Day 2’s stumps were called.
