After a batting debacle on Day 3 of the second Ashes Test, England are currently in a precarious position in the Lord’s Test. Australia is in complete command of the match, and it may be exceedingly challenging for the host team to find a solution and stage a comeback in the final two days. However, former England captain Eoin Morgan urged the team not to alter their strategy, as it has proven successful numerous times in the past.

Notably, Australia leads by 221 runs in their second innings with eight wickets remaining at the end of Day 3; therefore, the morning session will be crucial for England as it could determine the outcome of the match. Morgan emphasised that the only way to defeat Australia will be to play the Bazball style of cricket. He urged the team not to panic and to adhere to the plan.

“I believe England will adhere to their method. Morgan was quoted on Sky Cricket as saying, “It has been so successful for them in such a short period of time, and we have seen the development of players who were not successful under previous leadership.”

“This method must be maintained, especially during trying times. Australia playing England at their own game is the last thing any England player wishes to see in the dressing room. Australia is the world’s finest at that. “England will only defeat Australia if they play their game,” the 36-year-old concluded.

A 90-mph blow to the cranium shakes the foundations. Kevin Pietersen
After a superb start with the bat, England lost their last nine wickets for 137 runs, a collapse in their batting. This provided Australia with a tremendous advantage, as they are now the clear favourites to win the Lord’s Test. Former cricketer Kevin Pietersen criticised England’s batting, stating that the batsmen were uncomfortable facing Australian quicks.

People have referred to England’s batting as stupid, but a 90-mph delivery to the head will shake your foundations. “It is not comfortable,” said Pietersen.
