Wasim Akram, a former Pakistan cricket player, said that Pakistan cricket’s governing body made a fool of itself by making comments about the World Cup sites chosen by the Internation al Cricket Council (ICC) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has said more than once in the last six months that it doesn’t want to play in the future ODI World Cup if India doesn’t come to Pakistan for the Asia Cup. But a lot has happened since then, and its latest request is to change the location of the match between India and Pakistan on October 15 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
He finally added that the side led by Babar Azam has no problem with the plan, so he asked the PCB to stop making comments and let the two governments talk to each other if they need to.
“I’m all for egos. If you have an ego and know what’s going on is wrong, you should say something. But again, let’s move on. Always think about whether or not we can do it. Can we do what we set out to do? Don’t do this if we can’t. It ends up becoming something funny. We all love our country and are proud of it. They will be loyal to their country. There’s no question. But it’s just a game at the end of the day.
“Governments will talk to each other, that’s their problem,” Wasim Akram told reporters in a video posted by Cricket Pakistan.

“It doesn’t matter to Pakistan’s players, they’ll play wherever they’re supposed to. Nothing wrong with it. Pakistan will play wherever they are told to. Simple. This stress that “we won’t play in Ahmedabad” isn’t necessary—if you ask Pakistani players, they don’t care where their schedules are,” he said.
Notably, the Men in Green will play Qualifier 1 on October 6 and Qualifier 2 on October 12 before going to Ahmedabad to play India. Before that, they are set to play two games at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. After the game in Ahmedabad, they will play in Bengaluru, Chennai, and Kolkata.
