Kashmir willow bats will shine at the ODI World Cup in 2023.

The 2023 ODI World Cup will be held in India from October to November.

This will be the first time that Kashmir willow bats will be used at this huge ICC event. During the World Cup, cricket players from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, the West Indies, and Sri Lanka, among others, are expected to use the Kashmir willow instead of the usual English willow.

Fayaz Ahmad Dar, president of the Cricket Bat Manufacturing Association of Kashmir, said that the Kashmir willow bats will shine at the mega ODI event in India because some foreign players will prefer to use them instead of the English willow bats.

“The willow from Kashmir has come. Some foreign players will use Kashmir willow bats for the first time in the 50-over cricket world cup. It used to be only English willow. In T20 world cups over the past couple of years, the Kashmir willow has sometimes made itself known. “In the past, we also made bats for the IPL,” Fayaz Ahmad Dar told Hindustan Times.

The ‘Make in India’ and ‘Make in J&K’ efforts will be helped by the use of these bats. Kashmir has been making bats for more than a hundred years, but it hasn’t been very well known in the world of cricket until now.

Fawzul Kabir was one of the first people to sell and brand the Kashmir willow. He said that he helped place the bats and was happy that players from other countries will use them in the upcoming ICC ODI.

“A few players used willow in the last two T20 world cups, and this year it will be used for the first time in the 50-over world cup. He said, “Players from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, the West Indies, the United Arab Emirates, and Oman will use our bats.”

“For the past 13 years, I’ve worked on its marketing, development, and technical improvement, and I also got ICC approval. Last year, in Australia, one of our batsmen hit the biggest six of the ICC T20 World Cup. We showed the world that Kashmir willow is a good choice to English willow,” Kabir said.
