ODI World Cup 2023: Pakistan wants Afghanistan and Australia games to be played in a different place

Pakistan wants to switch where their games against Afghanistan and Australia will be played at this year’s ODI World Cup, which will be held in India from October to November.

Pakistan will play Afghanistan at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, which is a good place for spin bowlers, and Australia at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. But the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has said that they would rather play Australia than Afghanistan in Chennai.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has suggested that Pakistan play India at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium. Pakistan, on the other hand, hasn’t agreed to the plan yet because they say they need permission from the government. This is thought to be the reason why the official plan for the big event hasn’t been released yet.

A Cricket Pakistan report says that Pakistan analysts are looking at data about the venues and have raised some worries. Some people thought that India planned matches at places where Pak might have trouble, such as with the pitch conditions or practice facilities.

The pitch in Chennai is usually good for spinners, which will be hard for Pak to deal with against Afghanistan, which has a strong spin attack at the moment.

Pakistan has asked that their games against Australia and Afghanistan be changed to Chennai and Bengaluru, respectively.

Pakistan’s first two qualifying games are set to take place in Hyderabad on October 6 and October 12. The match against Australia is set for October 20 in Bengaluru. The match against India is set for October 15.

The games between Pak, Afghanistan and South Africa are set to take place in Chennai on October 23 and 27. They will play Bangladesh in Kolkata on October 31 and New Zealand in Bengaluru on November 5 before playing England in Kolkata on November 12 for their last group match.
