"Go into combat mode and attack" - Kevin Pietersen on England's potential strategy for the Ashes.

The much-anticipated Ashes series is scheduled to begin on June 16, and both England and Australia will be looking to maintain their form. With the first Test taking place in Birmingham’s Edgbaston, it will be intriguing to see if England can reclaim the emblematic urn from the Australians or if the Pat Cummins-led side can maintain their hold on it.

With the series quickly approaching, cricket experts have come forward with their predictions. Numerous luminaries, such as Glenn McGrath, Michael Vaughan, and Alastair Cook, provided their opinions on who they believed would win the rivalry series. Former English cricketer Kevin Pietersen also added his predictions for the series to the roster. England’s greatest chance of defeating Australia, according to Pietersen, would be to launch an all-out assault.

“The only method to defeat Australia is to enter combat mode and launch an assault. If you combat fire with fire against Australia, you have a significantly greater chance of success than if you are tactical, pragmatic, and slow. You must really attack them,” Kevin Pietersen was quoted as saying by National World.

“England’s current style of play dictates that they maintain this approach. They must face Australia on Friday, and from the first delivery onwards, they must be aggressive,” he added.

Kevin Pietersen helped us defeat Australia in 2005.

The 42-year-old also reflected on the 2005 Ashes, in which the English team’s aggressive play against the Australians led to victory and the beginning of the English cricket revolution.

“This is how we defeated Australia in 2005 and began the transformation of English cricket. This has not occurred in the last few Ashes series, and I believe it is the only way England can win this match,” Pietersen said.

“Whoever bats the best in the series will undoubtedly win the series. I’ve always believed that batsmen earn you sponsorships and bowlers win you championships, but I believe you must score runs,” he added.
