Pakistani woman cricketer Nahida Khan says she will stop playing cricket on the world stage.

Nahida Khan, who plays women’s cricket for Pakistan, recently came forward to say that she was leaving international cricket. The 36-year-old first played for the national team against Sri Lanka in February 2009. Nahida has been a player for Pakistan for many years and has played in more than 100 games of different types.

Also, the first batter holds the record for the most catches in an ODI game. In 2018, she caught four balls for Pakistan against Sri Lanka. Nahida has played in 66 ODIs for Pakistan and scored 1410 runs. She has also scored 604 runs in 54 T20Is. She has played for Pakistan in three ODI World Cups (in 2013, 2017, and 2022) and four T20I World Cups (in 2012, 2014, 2016, and 2018).

After she retired, she also talked about her work and thanked her fans for always being there for her. She also thanked the Pakistan Cricket Board for helping her along the way.

“I’m thankful for the constant support I’ve gotten during my work. I’d like to thank my family, my friends, my coaches, and the Pakistan Cricket Board for helping me and having faith in me. The News International reported that Nahida Khan said, “I also want to thank my fans, both in Pakistan and around the world, who have been so supportive of me on my journey.”

Women’s cricket in Pakistan is better because of what Nahida Khan did: Tania Mallick

Tania Mallick, who is in charge of women’s cricket in Pakistan, also talked about how much Nahida Khan has done for the sport. Mallick also said that the way she played and how long she played could encourage other cricket players to follow their dreams.

“Nahida Khan will be known for what she did for women’s cricket in Pakistan. Tania Mallick said, “Her hard work, skill, and constant determination have left an indelible mark on the game. They have inspired generations of cricketers to follow their dreams and strive for greatness.”

“As Nahida starts the next part of her life, the cricket community, fans, and people who care about her send their best wishes,” she said.
