“The Olympics have come down to one race to win a gold medal,” says Pat Cummins, who rejects Rohit Sharma’s three-match WTC final plan.

After the World Test Championship final at the Oval, India’s captain Rohit Sharma suggested that the winner be decided by a three-match Test series. But his Australian rival, Pat Cummins, said that wasn’t a good idea because he thinks a one-off match is enough. He used the Olympics as an example, where athletes only have one chance to win the gold award.

Australia went on to win the match by 209 runs, which was an embarrassing loss for India. On Day 5, there were signs that the Indian team might be able to do something amazing. However, Australian pacers completely upset India’s batting unit, and the Rohit Sharma-led team fell apart in the morning. After that, Rohit suggested a three-match series because he thought that the team had worked hard for two years and that it would be wrong to judge them based on just one game.

“I’d like to play in the WTC Final 3-Test Match Series. We fought and worked hard, but we only played one game. In the next WTC cycle, I think a three-match series would be best,” Rohit said in a press meeting.

“I don’t see a problem. No worries. I think that a 50-match series would be best, but at the Olympics, there is only one race to win a gold medal. The AFL and NRL seasons have come to an end. When asked about Rohit’s idea, Cummins said, “That’s sport.”

We changed well, which is what makes it so good. Pat Cummins
Cummins was very happy with Australia’s big win in the final, which made them the first country to win all three World Championships (ODI, T20, and Test). After the game, the 30-year-old said that the win meant a lot to him because it showed how well they had adjusted to English conditions.

“You win here, but you have to win everywhere else to get to the final. I think there were 20 tests in this run. I don’t think we lost more than three or four, and the 20 boys were great the whole time. “It’s so satisfying because we changed well, and that’s why it’s so good,” Cummins said.
