No excuses, no complaints. I just want to praise Australia on winning the final because they played better than us: Rahul Dravid

After his team lost to Australia in the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2021–23 final on Sunday, June 11, at The Oval in London, India’s head coach, Rahul Dravid, was honest about how his team had prepared.

Team managed by Rohit Sharma Australia beat India by a huge spread of 209 runs, which was a terrible loss for India. In doing so, the Australian team not only won the prized mace, but they also became the first team to win all ICC titles in all types of cricket.

After India lost, their head coach, Rahul Dravid, was very honest when he said that he would never be happy with how his team prepared. He also talked about how the busy schedule is making it hard to get ready for the summit fight.

“As a coach, I’ll never be happy with how things are set up. But I’m ready to accept that as the truth, and we all have to. The plans are so tight and crowded. Dravid said on Star Sports after India’s loss, “These guys know that if you’re playing international cricket and you’re here three weeks before the tour playing two side games, you’ll be better prepared.”

“But that’s not what we have. It’s not possible right now. We must do the best we can with what we have. I have no excuses and no complaints. I just want to applaud Australia for winning the final. They played better than us all five days. He also said, “We just need to look at ourselves and see how we can get better and what we can do better.”

In the next ODI World Cup, India hopes to end a run of not winning.
Australia, under the leadership of Pat Cummins, completely won all five days and set a lofty 444-run target for India on the fourth-to-last day. Even though the Indian team started out strong in their chase, they lost wickets at regular intervals, which made it harder for them to win the prized mace. Team India will now try to build a strong core team for the ODI World Cup 2023, which is set to take place in October and November, and push to win their first ICC title in almost a decade.
