Fans will agree that there is still a chance to pull off the most historic Test chase in history as long as Virat Kohli remains in the middle of the pitch, and that is unquestionably what will be required to achieve the best outcome.

The conclusion of the ICC World Test Championship final is imminent. India faces a formidable target of 444 runs, but Australia is still comfortably in the lead. India still requires 280 runs to accomplish a record run chase with only seven wickets remaining.

On this crucial final day, the former captain looks for a big score to lead India home, as he is only six runs away from his fifty. Even though Virat Kohli has led India to victory on numerous occasions, he is about to make history by orchestrating a run chase that will steal the ICC World Test Championship from Australia. Notably, a potent fourth-inning effort in the ongoing final will surpass the 418 runs scored by the West Indies against Australia in 2003.

The “Chase Master,” as India’s best batter is affectionately known, regards playing for his nation and winning games on his own as his greatest motivation. “What motivates me is knowing that every time I compete for India, I have the opportunity to help my team win. I believe there is no greater motivation in sports than that. Kohli stated to the ICC prior to the WTC Final, “I wake up every morning of any game I play believing that I will be the one to lead my team to victory.”

I continue to believe each morning that I can be the team’s leader. Virat Kohli

The 34-year-old believes that his teammates can breathe a sigh of relief as long as he is in the middle of performing the necessary task. “I’m as excited as ever to be the man who aids my team when I’m at bat. I want my team to feel confident in my abilities so that they can breathe a sigh of relief when they see me out in the field.

“I’ve always taken a great deal of pride in that, and I’m extremely appreciative to be in a position where the team can expect that from me. I still wake up every morning believing I can be the team’s best player,” he added.

On the fourth day of the final of the World Test Championship at the Oval, Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane attacked Australia aggressively. When given a huge 444 to win, India performed admirably despite losing Shubman Gill in a contentious manner, Rohit Sharma, and Cheteshwar Pujara in successive overs.

Virat Kohli, currently one of the most renowned Test batsmen, and Ajinkya Rahane teamed up to offer India hope for a miracle. Prior to their revival on Friday, they were completely outclassed for the first two days. On Day 5 of the ongoing Test, India needs 280 more runs to win with seven wickets remaining.
