WTC Final 2023: Weather forecast for Day 4 at Kennington Oval, London, between India and Australia

The highly anticipated World Test Championship (WTC) 2021–2023 final, which will be played at London’s The Oval, is almost at its end. This is where the winner of the red-ball ICC event will be decided. Pat Cummins’ Australia has so far been in charge of the game. In their first inning, they scored 469 runs, while India’s middle order put up a good fight but only scored 296.

But by the end of Day 3, the Australians had made 123 runs and lost four wickets in their third inning. They now have a 296-run lead with two days left to play. But according to the latest weather reports, it’s likely to rain at the London spot, which could make it hard for the two teams to play their important match.

Notably, it had been said before that the rain gods could show up on the last two days of the ultimate test at The Oval. So, let’s see what the weather will be like on the second-to-last day of the important WTC final.

Weather report for the WTC Final at Kennington Oval in London

According to what “AccuWeather” says about the weather, there will be 71% cloud cover in the morning, and the wind will gust at 27 km/h. The match starts at 10:30 a.m. in London, which is 3:00 p.m. in IST. Play could be possible in the first session, but the weather report for the afternoon may not be good.

The website says that there will be a windy thunderstorm in the afternoon with 75% cloud cover and a 55% chance of rain. Even in the evening, it’s likely to stay cloudy with a few thundershower breaks. In the same way, “BBC Weather” shows a light breeze from the east and a chance of rain.

Any way you look at it, fans and players from both teams will want to see a full-fledged battle for the prized hammer. If something bad happens and you can’t play for the rest of the two days, the game could be moved to the backup day. If the rain gods mess up on Monday, June 12 (Spare Day), both India and Australia will share the mace and be called joint winners.
