Rahul Dravid has made 209 catches as a player in Test cricket, which is more than anyone else.

Notably, former India captain Rahul Dravid has made 209 catches as a player in Test cricket. This makes him the record holder.

Pat Cummins, the captain of Australia, was out when Ajinkya Rahane made his 100th Test catch to get rid of him in the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2021–23 final at the Oval in London. The Aussies finished their first game on Day 2 with a score of 469 runs. Notably, it was Mohammed Siraj who hit Nathan Lyon and Pat Cummins with the last two blows to end Australia’s great performance. On the third ball of the 122nd over, Siraj threw a back-of-a-length ball outside off to Cummins, who hit it straight to Rahane at extra cover. In the process, Rahane caught his 100th ball, which is a big deal in the longest form of the game.

Shardul Thakur and Mohammed Shami both got two wickets, while pacer Siraj got four wickets for 108 runs in 28.3 overs. Travis Head, a flamboyant southpaw, got the most runs for the Aussies with a brilliant 163 off 174, which included 25 fours and one six.

On the other hand, Steve Smith scored 121 out of 268 to finish with his 31st century. Smith now has eight centuries, which puts him in second place between the two foes, Sachin Tendulkar and Smith. Tendulkar has 11 centuries, while Smith has eight.

Alex Carey and David Warner got 48 and 43 runs, respectively, at the end of the game. With 469 runs made in the first inning, the Australians will want to keep their lead when Team India bats.
