Ben Stokes
Ben Stokes and Heather Knight, captains of the England men’s and women’s cricket teams, were projected onto Tower Bridge in London on Wednesday night, prior to the double Ashes series beginning in June. The 2023 Women’s Ashes will take place between June 22 and July 18. Men’s Ashes matches will take place between June 16 and July 31.

While discussing the upcoming cricket season, Stokes stated that the Ashes is one of the greatest rivalries that every cricketer desires to compete in. He also stated that having the men’s and women’s ashes concurrently is an excellent opportunity for the sport, adding that he has already observed the ticket sales and that people are eager to support the women’s team.

“The Ashes is one of the biggest and best sporting rivalries, and every cricketer aspires to play in it. It’s a fantastic opportunity for the game to have both the men’s and women’s ashes concurrently, and we’ve already seen from ticket sales that supporters are eager to support the women’s team.

According to Ben Stokes, the women’s game has experienced extraordinary growth over the past few years as a result of Heather and the team’s performance and success on the field.

The 32-year-old went on to describe his fondest Ashes memories, having played in front of massive England crowds who always give them their complete support. He added that he hopes his team will continue to entertain the crowd and put on a display.

“Some of my favourite Ashes memories have occurred in front of large and boisterous England crowds; they always get behind us 100 percent, and they’ll play a significant role for both sides this summer. The England captain added, “We hope to continue entertaining them and putting on a show.”

This summer will be monumental for women’s cricket: Heather Knight
Heather Knight stated that this summer will be monumental for the English women’s cricket team, and they cannot wait. In addition, the 32-year-old stated that playing alongside the men’s team and having more games at prominent venues will be extremely exciting. With ticket sales for the women’s series already exceeding 75,000, the captain stated that playing in front of such large audiences is monumental, and the record-breaking ticket sales will give them an additional boost. She also expects that both the men’s and women’s teams will win the double series.

This summer will be monumental for women’s cricket, and we cannot wait. It is so exciting to play alongside the men’s team and to have more games at prominent venues. It is enormous for us to play in front of such large audiences, and the record-breaking ticket sales will provide us with a tremendous boost when we’re on the pitch during the Women’s Ashes.

Knight stated, “I remember seeing the England Men’s and England Women’s teams on the double-decker bus in 2005, and it would be incredible if both teams had a similar summer this year.”
