India 'A' squad for ACC Emerging Women's Asia Cup 2023 is announced by BCCI.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) recently announced the India ‘A’ (Emerging) squad for the ACC Emerging Women’s Asia Cup 2023. The tournament is scheduled to commence in Hong Kong on June 12.

On June 13 at the Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground, India ‘A’ will begin their campaign against Hong Kong. Eight teams will compete in the tournament, which will be divided into two divisions. India ‘A’ is a member of group A, which also includes Hong Kong, Thailand ‘A’, and Pakistan ‘A’.

Group B, on the other hand, includes Bangladesh, ‘A’, Sri Lanka, ‘A’, Malaysia, and the United Arab Emirates. The tournament’s championship match will take place on June 21.

Shweta Sherawat of the UP Warriorz will head the emerging India ‘A’ team.
India ‘A’ will compete in three division matches. They will play Hong Kong on June 13, Thailand ‘A’ on June 15, and Pakistan ‘A’ on June 17. It would be intriguing to see how the team performs in the tournament and if they can win it all.

In announcing the squad, the BCCI named Shweta Sehrawat as the team’s captain and Soumya Tiwari as the vice captain. Notably, Sehrawat represented the UP Warriors in the inaugural Women’s Premier League (WPL) season. Other athletes on the team include Shreyanka Patil, Kanika Ahuja, and others, to name a few. In addition, head coach Nooshin Al Khadeer will direct the team.

Several members of the squad recently participated in the inaugural season of the Women’s Premier League 2023 (WPL 2023) and delivered a number of standout performances. India ‘A’ would be eager to win the Emerging Women’s Asia Cup under the stewardship of Sehrawat.

India ‘A’ (Emerging) Squad: Shweta Sehrawat (captain), Soumya Tiwari (vice-captain), Trisha Gongadi, Muskan Malik, Shreyanka Patil, Kanika Ahuja, Uma Chetry (wicketkeeper), Mamatha Madiwala (wicketkeeper), Titas Sadhu, Yashasri S, Kashvee Gautam, Parshavi Chopra, Mannat Kashyap, B Anusha.
