The ACC has set the dates for the Emerging Women's Asia Cup in 2023.

The first ACC Emerging Women’s Asia Cup will be held in 2023. The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) and Cricket Hong Kong (CHK) announced this. From June 12 to 21, the event will be held at the Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground in Hong Kong. India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Malaysia, and Hong Kong are all taking part in the game. Notably, the full-member countries will send either their U-23 or A teams to the competition.

After the Emerging Women’s Asia Cup 2023 schedule was released, ACC president Jay Shah said that the board’s goal for cricket in the region includes giving women equal chances to show off their skills and take the sport to new heights. He said that the tournament gives young female cricket players a great chance to fight and get better.

“The Asian Cricket Council’s plan for cricket in the area includes giving women the same chances as men to show off their skills and help the sport reach new heights. The Women’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2023 in Hong Kong is a great place for young women cricketers to fight and grow. “We are committed to developing women’s cricket in Asia to make sure the sport has a bright future,” Shah said.

Cricket Hong Kong was happy to hear that the ACC had chosen them to host the event.

Burji Shroff, the head of CHK, said, “It’s a great event that will not only show off one of the best women’s cricket teams in Asia, but will also help women’s cricket grow all over the region.”

“It will give our team a great chance to play and get a lot of experience. In group games, they will play India A, Pakistan A, and Thailand A. Hong Kong has a long history of having successful international cricket tournaments, and he said, “We look forward to welcoming visiting teams to Hong Kong so they can see this beautiful city and show off their skills at a great event.”

Fatima Sana to lead Pakistan
The Pakistan women’s national team has chosen a 14-person team to go to the event. Fatima Sana has been chosen to lead the Pakistan cricket team in the next tournament. Four of the team’s players took part in the first ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup, which was held earlier this year.

Sana’s first match in Pakistan was when she was 18 years old. The 21-year-old has played for Pakistan in 23 senior national team games and 17 T20Is. He has taken 17 wickets in T20Is. She is a great choice for captain in the upcoming tournament because she has both information and experience.

“We have some great players coming up, and it was hard to choose just 14 of them. Chief Selector Saleem Jaffar said, “I want to tell the cricket players who didn’t get picked for this tournament to keep their heads up and keep working hard. They will get their chance in the next tournaments.”

“Since the camp in Multan, we have been watching these players and putting them through different tests. The three T20 matches against our best international players were their most recent test.”In recent local tournaments, Fatima Sana has shown that she is a great leader, and I am sure she will lead this team by example,” he added.

Pakistan squad: Fatima Sana (c), Anoosha Nasir, Eyman Fatima, Gull Feroza, Gulrukh, Lubina Behram, Najiha Alvi, Natalia Parvaiz, Sadaf Shamas, Shawaal Zulfigar, Syeda Aroob Shar, Tuba Hassan, Umm-e-Hani, Yusra Amir

Reserves: Amber Kainat, Dua Majid, Fatima Khan, Rameen Shamim
