In front of their home fans at the Wankhede, the Mumbai Indians beat Sunrisers Hyderabad in a one-sided game as they tried to get the last spot in the IPL 2023 playoffs. Even though the home team was in charge of the chase, there were a few tense moments in the middle when Cameron Green was trying to reach his first IPL century.
Cameron Green aggressive play with the bat put Rohit Sharma‘s team in a strong situation in the second innings of a must-win match. In one of the innings of the tournament so far, the tall Australian all-rounder showed no mercy to the Hyderabad bowlers.
The Mumbai team was making quick progress in their chase, but after Cameron Green hit 90 runs, the home fans got a little nervous. The Aussie was in danger of being left alone at one end when his team was close to winning.
But Indian batsman Suryakumar Yadav fought against his natural tendency to go all out and sneaked a dangerous single to put Cameron Green back on strike. After his team won, the Indian star said that it was the hardest match he had ever played.
“That last one was the hardest single I’ve ever hit, and I kept a close eye on the ball. Green did a great job at bat and earned the hundred. After MI’s 8-wicket win, SKY told the reporters, “We didn’t worry about NRR and thought it would be a special century, which it was.”

In the last few years, the number one T20 hitter in the world has been wowing fans with his amazing strokeplay, and one of his most recent innovative shots has become the talk of the town. SKY, as most people call him, showed that he had mastered the slice/drive, which looks like a real edge at first glance.
“Yes, I did. I’ve thought about that shot 100–150 times. The 32-year-old said, “Now I know I can do it, and I’m glad.” He didn’t say if he opened the face of the bat on purpose.
