The pacer was ruled out of Sussex’s game against Glamorgan due to an ankle injury. During the morning session, he bowled eight overs before sitting out for the remainder of the day.
Ollie Robinson was the third player to sustain an injury prior to the Ashes, following pacer James Anderson and Jofra Archer, whose forearms were fractured.
Before the English summer, Ollie Robinson ankle issues could present a significant challenge for the Ben Stokes-led team.
A one-off Test match between England and Ireland is scheduled to commence on June 1, prior to the Ashes. Anderson’s participation in the one-off test was already in question, and now Ollie Robinson’s participation is also in serious doubt.

We were aware that he was in pain, due primarily to his movement. It is walking, not sprinting, that causes discomfort. Paul Farbrace told The Mirror that our medical team and the England medical team jointly made the decision.
