Harry Tector surpasses Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma in the most recent ODI Player Rankings for men.

In the most recent ICC ODI batting rankings, Harry Tector has fallen behind batting greats Rohit Sharma, Quinton de Kock, Steve Smith, Jos Buttler, and Virat Kohli. Harry Tector obtained the highest rating points for an Irish batsman in order to enter the top ten. Currently, the right-handed batter has 722 points, which is the most ever by an Irish male batsman in ODIs, surpassing Paul Stirling (697 points in June 2021).

Harry Tector heroics with the bat in the most recent three-match ODI series against Bangladesh resulted in a massive 72 rating point increase and a nine-place jump to the seventh position.

Notably, the 23-year-old concluded as the series’ leading run scorer, with 206 runs scored at an average of 103 per inning over three innings. In the second ODI, he scored a magnificent 140 off 113 deliveries with the assistance of seven fours and ten sixes.

Ireland captain Andy Balbirnie recently praised the star batsman, stating that Harry Tector possesses all the necessary qualities to become one of the greats of Irish cricket. “He has all the qualities necessary to become one of the greats of Irish cricket, and I hope that we can assist him along the way as he continues to score runs for us. “The more runs he scores for us, the better off we’ll be,” Balbirnie was quoted as saying in Hindustan Times.

Ireland lost the three-match series, 0-2, despite Harry Tector exploits, because the first game was rained out. Ireland posted 319/6 in the second ODI thanks to Harry Tector 140, but Bangladesh chased the total to take a 1-0 series lead. In the third ODI, Ireland came very close to chasing down Bangladesh’s 274 but fell short by five runs, finishing on 269/9 after 50 overs.
