On May 5, the Gujarat Titans, the current league champions, played the Rajasthan Royals in the 48th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. The Gujarat bowling assault destroyed the home team’s batting order in the first inning. Rashid Khan and Noor Ahmad bowled outstanding periods, which resulted in Rajasthan being bowled out for a pitiful 118 runs.
Gujarat dominated the opposition during the run chase, winning by nine wickets because of outstanding performances from Wriddiman Saha, Shubman Gill, and captain Hardik Pandya. Aakash Chopra, a former cricketer for India, spoke up about the game after the team’s humbling defeat. Even though Rajasthan lost to the current champions, he thought the game was incredibly boring.

Aakash Chopra also questioned why Sanju Samson did not use spinners during the powerplay, given that spin bowling was responsible for destroying their batting order during the first inning. He even continued by claiming that he had no idea what the game was all about.
Rajasthan’s only wicket-taker throughout the run chase, Yuzvendra Chahal, dismissed the in-form Shubman Gill, but it was in vain as Gujarat’s skipper Hardik Pandya’s blazing knock after the loss of the first wicket powered Gujarat to a convincing victory.
“Spin wrecked you, but in the first six overs, you didn’t bowl a single over with spin. Ravichandran Ashwin was your pick in the 12th or 13th over. How do you behave? This match was really beyond my comprehension, remarked Chopra.
