A top pacer, Kane Richardson, is most likely going to follow a number of other cricketers and pursue a freelance T20 cricket career.
A noteworthy omission from the Queensland contract list means that the 32-year-old will not have a state contract for the next Australian summer. As a result, it is extremely possible that the Australian pacer will participate in a number of franchise-based tournaments in the future season.
Notably, Kane Richardson has played in 35 T20Is and 25 ODIs for Australia, the most recent of which was against Afghanistan at the 2022 T20 World Cup, which was held in his country. Richardson may make Australia’s squad for the forthcoming T20 World Cup, which is scheduled to take place in the West Indies and the USA, despite the fact that he is way down the lineup for the 2017 ODI World Cup.
Sam Heazlett, who made his international debut in 2017, Sam Truloff, and Matthew Willans have also been left out of consideration for a potential deal in addition to Richardson.
