New Delhi, May 1st, 2023: Tuesday’s match against the Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad will be an opportunity for the Delhi Capitals to regain their form.
Assistant Coach of the Delhi Capitals, Pravin Amre, stated prior to the match, “Many teams have made comebacks after a disastrous start in the IPL. This is the charm of this competition. Any team can defeat any opponent. This is why we must strive for excellence. It will be difficult for us to compete against Gujarat. But you can never predict what will occur in the IPL.”
The assistant coach continued, “We must remain in the present and concentrate on gaining two points in our next game.” We must strengthen our batting in the middle order and in the final overs.
When asked about Vice-Captain Axar Patel’s role in the batting order for the Delhi Capitals, Amre stated, “Axar has the ability to complete the game. We need someone to perform the role of finisher. This season, he has hit the most sixes for our team. Therefore, we must occasionally hold him back so that he can assume the role of the finisher in the batting order.”
