Suryakumar Yadav, Hrithik Shokeen, and Nitish Rana were penalized for code of conduct violations in the match between Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders.

Match 22 of the ongoing Indian Premier League pitted the Mumbai Indians against the Kolkata Knight Riders at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Suryakumar Yadav was appointed as the interim captain due to Rohit Sharma’s illness.

Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and sent the Nitish Rana-led team into bat first. In their 20 overs, the Kolkata Knight Riders posted a score of 185/6.

Suryakumar Yadav was fined INR 12 lakh for minimum over-rate violations under the IPL’s Code of Conduct after Mumbai maintained a sluggish over-rate.

During the KKR chase, KKR captain Nitish Rana was penalized 25% of his match fee for violating the IPL Code of Conduct by engaging in an on-field altercation with Hrithik Shokeen. Notably, the spinner for the Mumbai Indians was penalized 10% of his match fee.

Nitish Rana and Hrithik Shokeen confessed to committing a Level 1 violation of Article 2.21 and Article 2.5 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct.
