"Practice makes perfect; you can only do well if you practice diligently" - Babar Azam's success maxim

When discussing the best batter in the world, the name of Pakistani opener Babar Azam is always mentioned. The statistics of the 28-year-old speak for themselves. The right-hander has represented Pakistan in 47 Tests and has accumulated a total of 3,696 runs. In ODI cricket, he has played 95 matches and scored 4813 runs, while in T20I cricket, he has a wealth of expertise, having scored 3355 runs in 99 games.

His record is among the finest in international cricket, and he is only 28 years old, so he has a long way to go. Babar has now come forward to reveal the key to his success.

“I believe that you can only do well in the match if you have practiced well. I play between 500 and 600 balls every day during practice. Even double balls when I am rusty. Practice is essential for anyone who wishes to perform on the ground, Babar stated in a podcast talk with Peshawar Zalmi.

Criticism is ever-present. Babar Azam

Moreover, Babar Azam reflected on the criticism he has received for his outstanding batting efforts. His perseverance finally paid off, as he has received numerous personal awards.

“Criticism is always present, whether or not you perform. Everyone has their own opinion, and I believe it takes time to identify any flaws in your batting. People desire instant correction, which is not possible, “Babar stated.

He also credited his father for most of his achievement, stating, “My father is rarely pleased with my performance because he does not want me to get complacent. He is continuously trying to provide me with guidance so that I can improve. Now, he occasionally compliments me. But I believe it’s beneficial that your elders continue to guide you and expect more from you, “he continued.
