Three World Cup-winning captains, Rohit Sharma, Harmanpreet Kaur, and Deepika TC, graced the occasion. Together with Nita Ambani, the founder and chair of the Reliance Foundation, the three World Cup-winning captains took the stage. On Monday, January 5, the Reliance Foundation held “United in Triumph” in Mumbai to show appreciation and recognise the World Cup heroes for their incredible accomplishments.

Rohit, the captain of the Mumbai Indians and a five-time IPL winner, was with his wife, Ritika Singh.

Sachin Tendulkar, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Suryakumar Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Sunil Gavaskar, Smriti Mandhana, and Jemmiah Rodriguez were among the other well-known cricket players who attended the event.

The three World Cup-winning teams were honoured at the ceremony. The owner of the Mumbai Indians thanked the three clubs for bringing happiness and joy to the country.

According to the Mint, Nita stated, “On behalf of every Indian, we are going to honour them tonight for giving us so much joy and happiness.” “All three cricket teams, the men’s cricket team, the women’s cricket team, and the blind cricket team of India are all here under one roof.”

The Blind Women’s squad was recognised

The first-ever T20 World Cup for the blind was won by the Indian women’s cricket team. On November 23, 2025, in the final in Colombo, Sri Lanka, they defeated Nepal by seven wickets, maintaining their undefeated record throughout the competition. To win the championship, the Indian squad, captained by captain Deepika T.C., chased down 115 runs in 12.1 overs.

Conversely, Harmanpreet Kaur and company made history by defeating South Africa in the final to win their first-ever ICC Women’s World Cup 2025.

The 17-year T20 World Cup drought came to an end in 2024 as Rohit Sharma guided India to victory. Jasprit Bumrah was voted Player of the Series, while Virat Kohli was chosen Player of the Match for his outstanding finals innings.
