Badale on Dravid Exit: A Tough Decision

“Look, there’s been reports on Rajasthan Royals being for sale for 17 years, so there’s nothing, it keeps you busy,” he replied. The subject of Rahul Dravid being replaced as head coach after just one year was also discussed by Badale. From Dravid, Kumar Sangakkara has taken over.

The primary owner of the Rajasthan Royals, Manoj Badale, declined to directly respond when asked if the team was for sale. There has been a lot of conjecture that the RR management is considering selling the team’s stake. However, Badale wavered on the subject.

Making the choice was difficult. Kumar has coached us previously, therefore this is not a new coach. In actuality, it was about simplification.

There is no condemnation of Dravid; in my opinion, he is still among India’s best trainers. Therefore, while it was difficult, the decision was made.

Additionally, there have been rumours that Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) is up for sale. The team’s director of cricket, Mo Bobat, stated that the outside development has no bearing on the operations team.

“The obvious response is that it truly has no effect on us. We must inform people about the current situation so they are aware of what is happening. Trying to put together a team that we can be proud of and perform the way we want to, at least on the pitch, will be a challenging task for us. That’s the goal my team and I am aiming for,” Bobat stated.

Despite the squad’s negative reputation following the devastating stampede on June 4, the RCB official expressed hope that the team will be able to play at Bengaluru’s Chinnaswamy Stadium.

I don’t think I have anything to say at this point regarding the tragic events at the Chinnaswamy. Everyone, I believe, is aware of how tragic the situation was. We’re excited to perhaps perform in Bangalore and be able to interact with our supporters and community.”
